God is Faithful To Those Who Trust in Him
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”
Proverbs 3:5–6
Would the course of our lives be different if we truly trusted God with every thought, every decision, every action, and every part of our lives?
Psalm 37:23 tells us, “The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives.” What a beautiful promise, God cares about every detail. He desires for us to come to Him in prayer, to lean into His wisdom, and to let Him lead. He is faithful to guide us not just in the big, life-altering decisions, but in the small, ordinary ones too.
When we face challenges and trials, this call to trust remains. We can rest in the truth that “God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose” (Romans 8:28). When our eyes are fixed on circumstances, we risk being pulled into fear, envy, anger, or bitterness. But when our hearts are anchored in God, we find strength, peace, and direction. Even in our weakness or doubt, He remains faithful, full of grace and mercy, leading us through the valleys and our own wrestlings.
We recently studied the lives of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Joseph, our great fathers of faith. They, too, struggled to trust God fully, yet His covenant and promises held firm through every generation of their imperfect family. God always keeps His word.
In 2018, when my husband divorced me, it became the darkest trial of my life. But in that darkness, the Lord gave me a promise: that He would bless me and my family even there. He strengthened me with His Word, specifically Psalm 1:1–3. Delighting in His Word became the firm foundation beneath my feet.
Dear sister, when you trust in the Lord, seek Him, and pray, He answers. He leads. His love and promises are not only for you but will become part of the legacy you leave in your own family. “The path of the righteous is like the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the full light of day” (Proverbs 4:18).
So give Him your whole heart. Let Him guard it, for it determines the course of your life (Proverbs 4:23).
Will you trust in the Lord today?
May the Lord bless you and keep you in His perfect peace.
