God Is The Master Creator

“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago.”

Ephesians 2:10 (NLT)

I have the privilege of being part of a group of women I deeply admire. Each time we gather, I’m encouraged by who God created them to be. It’s a blessing to witness the Lord’s transformative power at work in their lives, each one uniquely different and gifted, living lives of service to others and to our Savior. Our deep love for Him has knit our hearts together in a special bond.

This past week, I found myself weeping with them, vulnerably sharing that I sometimes feel inferior. I confessed that I didn’t finish college and never had a desire to pursue a career. My heart’s dream was simply to marry a godly man and raise a family as a stay-at-home mama. And oh, how graciously the Lord answered those prayers and fulfilled that desire. Still, it was humbling to share my insecurities with friends I so highly esteem, women who are incredibly accomplished in ways I’ve never experienced.

But in those moments of comparison, instead of believing the lies of the enemy that our worth is defined by our achievements, abilities, or lack thereof, we can stand firm on the truth of God’s Word. We are His masterpiece, handcrafted by the Creator of the universe. Our identity is found in Christ, who formed us in our mother’s womb, who gave His life so we could live eternally with Him.

He is our Hope, our Redeemer, and our Salvation. And He has uniquely shaped and gifted each of us to accomplish the good works He planned long ago.

So the next time we’re tempted to compare ourselves to others, let’s remember this: even if our journey looks different, we are still chosen, deeply loved, and fully equipped for the purpose He has assigned to us. He is faithful to complete the good work He began, and by the power of His Spirit, we can walk in confidence and bring glory to His name.

Lord, thank You for calling us Your masterpiece. Thank you for seeing beauty and value in each of us, even when we struggle to see it ourselves. Help us to walk in confidence, not in our accomplishments, but in Your calling. Remind us daily that we are loved, chosen, and equipped for every good work You've prepared for us. May our lives reflect Your glory and point others to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
